Romans 6, Alive with Christ

Lesson Presentation Idea: Baptism Word Web

Mix It, Fix It - Baptism

Kids are given the letter cards to spell "baptism." Together you "mix" the cards. Then "fix" the cards to spell baptism. Repeat 3 times. Then children glue the letter cards on teh Worksheet that has the definition of baptism and verse at the bottom.

Picture: Picture of someone being baptized(?)

Welcome: Cut up words – Hear, believe, repent, confess, baptism (see attached materials)

Bible Lesson #1:
1. What is baptism?
2. Why do it?
3. What does it mean?
Discuss the steps of salvation
Baptism=
• Died to sins
• United with Christ
• Sins washed away
• Go to heaven
Highlight v23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Application:
Sequence cards in pocket chart together (in attached materials)
Sequence own cards on kid sized worksheet.
Tour of baptistry
Glue steps on kid sized worksheet and decorate


Steps of Salvation - hear, believe, repent, confess, be baptized
