This is a vocabulary card. It's not the same as a Wise Word, although sacrifice certainly has been a wise word in the past. This JUST DEFINES the word, it doesn't give application to the word.

Sacrifice

Definition:
Offer something to God, often by burning

What God said about it:
· God had a lot to say about sacrifices.
· God had many rules about sacrifices, who could offer them, where they could be made, and how many times a year, what could be offered for each type of sacrifice.
· Some sacrifices were burned, some sacrifices were given to the priests to eat, and some were presented (given) to the Lord.
